WHAT IS A CROSS PROMOTIONAL THREAD or CONVERSATION?
A cross promotional thread is one thread / Conversation
where a team of people post 1-3 items either per business day or once a week
for promotion. Each thread has different rules as “how to post” in it. A cross
promotional thread generally allows you to use several different social media
sites to post not only your item but your team mates items as well.
WHY SHOULD I DO CROSS PROMOTIONAL THREADS?
When you use cross promotional threads, it gives a better
coverage of getting the “word” out about your items, and your teammate’s items.
You can’t sell it, if it can’t be found.

DOES IT WORK USING MULTI-SOCIAL MEDIA SITES TO GET SALES?
Yes, it does work. By using multi-sources you can reach a
big market area for your product. Many online market places have integrated an
auto-posting feature that if you heart and item it can be auto-posted to your Facebook
or Google plus page. Pinterest has a box that if you check mark it, it will
auto tweet your pin to twitter. These functions save you time in your promotion
of not only your items but your team mates as well. Many groups have set up separate communities
to do something similar on Face book and Google.

Excellent tool for those that do cross promotional work is Hoote Suite, free account. It allows to set up promotional shouts in advance to multiple promotional venues like twitter, google plus, and Face book. You can pay extra for more options per month depending on what your needs are.
